What a quotation covers, and what it does not
A quotation carries the commercial part of a proposal: the deliverables, the price for each, the total, the timeline in your terms, and the date the offer expires. For a lot of service work that is the whole document the client needs.
What it is not is a long-form pitch deck with case studies, team bios and a narrative. If your sales process needs that, write it separately and attach the quotation as the pricing your client signs off.
